All of the Dems are in my town this week and the big dinner for 1000 people is today. My good friends are doing the catering (all the food) and all of the decor (every thing on the table tops, plates, silverware, cups, etc etc etc)
The point to all of this - they are spending SO MUCH MONEY just on the dinner. Everything is top of the top of the top. top food, top place settings, incredibly expensive custom linens….FOR 1000. All of this being paid for by the NC Democratic Party supporters. It is complete insanity.
And to make it even more newsworthy- BOTH Obama and Clinton are scheduled to be at the dinner, the first time they are both together in the same room since some recent debates. Both are giving speeches. Will be very interesting to see what they say.
I would love one of them to be honest and say “95% of the people of this state CAN NOT afford to be at this dinner tonight, no matter what comes out of our mouthes about helping the “regular person.”
It is one big expensive joke.
