Dominion is reading the blogs
Over the past few days I’ve posted quite a few times regarding Dominion Virginia power and their plan to launch energy conservation programs as an assault on the intelligence of Virginians, their plan to build yet another power plant in Buckingham county and of course, their plan to build a dirty coal power plant in Wise county despite enormous public opposition to the plant. I usually keep a pretty close eye on visitor information through sitemeter as far as the persons location, how they found me, etc. etc. and lately I’ve noticed quite a few hits coming from visitors accessing my site from Dominion Virginia Power internet servers, meaning Dominion is reading the blogs and they know Virginians all across the state are not happy with recent decisions of the company.
So I’m curious to know why Dominion has failed to even acknowledge the public outrage against them and also whether other bloggers covering Dominion Virginia Power have noticed anything similar with their traffic. Are you all also seeing several dozen hits coming from Dominion internet servers??

I too get dom.com visiting quite often at VB Dems. (I also get regent.edu and house.gov, so I’m over being spooked.) I figure it just means you’re doing a good job, which is exactly what you are doing! Keep it up!

HA HA I’m not spooked. I’ve gotten several from House.gov and senate.gov as well. The only time I got spooked was when I first started blogging back in 2006 and got a hit that came from the CIA. LOL. Also, thanks for the kind words.

I’m seeing FERC network locations showing up in my traffic as well, mostly for posts on Joe May’s relationship with Dominion.
Interestinger and interestinger.
The next thing you know, we’ll all be thought of as “influential.” Ick.
Superkudos to AIAW for pointing out your site!

I don’t usually check that stuff, but lo and behold, I just looked at my visitor domain names, and there are two “dom.com”s just in the last 100 visitors!

We’re knocking down their spin. That’s why they are checking us out.
