NBC/WSJ POLL: Dems 52, Republicans 37

Although these generic congressional ballots don’t really mean squat, according to MSNBC the 15 point lead the Democrats hold is tied for largest lead ever in the survey. The poll also showed a slight increase in Bush’s approval ratings.

Democrat Activist Verbally Attacks Allen

Allen Campaign Demands Webb Restrain Out of Control Supporter

ARLINGTON, VA - At the conclusion of a well attended event in Charlottesville, a Webb supporter wearing an Allen sticker aggressively went after Senator Allen, who was at an event with his wife Susan and Senator Elizabeth Dole, screaming that he answer inappropriate questions.
As the Senator was trying to exit the room with a campaign staffer, the Democrat activist, identified as Mike Stark, pushed the Allen staffer. Later, volunteers restrained him and asked to leave the building when he approached the Senator a second time, asking inappropriate questions.
This was not the first time that Stark, a frequent Daily Kos blogger, has aggressively confronted Senator Allen in front of TV cameras and been removed from the premises by event security. In August, Stark was asked to leave a Holiday Inn by management “after he became combative” while interrupting a press conference with Senator Allen. (Chris Graham, “Webb Supporter Asked to Leave Allen Event after N-Word Question,” Augusta Free Press; August 25, 2006).
Stark has a history of violent outbursts on the Daily Kos, an extreme left-wing website, such as his post “The F*****g Way…Take These RNC F*****s Down”. Daily Kos Link http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/4/12/02847/6131BY
He also posted his intention last night on his blog, Calling All Wingnuts, which is subtitled “Kickin’ a*s on the lyin’ side: A never-ending battle against stupid, ugly, deceitful and corrupt right-wing water carriers…” in which he wrote in reference to stalking Senator Allen,”So yeah… I miss doing this stuff - it seemed that at least once a month, something would happen that really got the adrenaline flowing… I miss those tasty morsels of victory.”

Paid for by Friends Of George Allen

So I’m just wondering, how is the Webb campaign supposed to be responsible for every “supporter” out there?

Michael Stark to press charges on Allen staffers; calls on Allen to fire them!!

In addition to Mr. Allen’s divorce records, I’d like to know why he has fought so hard to keep those supposed arrest warrants from years ago sealed, when he CLAIMS they are for mere parking tickets. If they’re ONLY for parking tickets, why not just allow them to be released and erase this cloud of suspicion that still surrounds them??

Allen staffers assault heckler; where is Fox News with this?

After the incident involving a heckler being “manhandled” by an Allen staffer today, I’ve been watching the national cable media non-stop waiting for updates on the story. The first one was run by CNN around 3:15pm, and almost instantly MSNBC ran it. Both showing longer versions of a video clip which can be found here: http://www.nbc29.com/Global/story.asp?S=5613839 noticeably absent though was Fox News. Surprised? Not really. What makes this even more laughable though is that the story doesn’t even appear on Fox’s web site yet!!! Fair And Balanced INDEED!

UPDATE: Check out the full video from alternet: http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/43723/
UPDATE #2: 6:15pm, a full 3 hours after CNN and MSNBC ran their stories, Fox News just ran a brief clip of the video but DID NOT SHOW THE PART WHERE STARK IS KNOCKED TO THE FLOOR!
